# Tottenham Hotspur: Spurs interested in Christopher Nkunku

**According to reports from Germany, Tottenham Hotspur are one of a number of Premier League clubs interested in the signing of RB Leipzig attacking midfielder Christopher Nkunku this summer.**

The report by [Fussball Transfers](https://www.fussballtransfers.com/a1935535844464907654-transfer-rueckpass-18-klubs-18-news) (via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/manchester-united-tottenham-join-arsenal-putting-player-list-summer-battle-cards/)) claims sources have revealed that Tottenham, as well as Manchester United and Arsenal, have Nkunku on their list of summer targets, with it being said that the 23-year-old has grown frustrated with life at Leipzig due “various issues” with the Bundesliga side.

[Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/manchester-united-tottenham-join-arsenal-putting-player-list-summer-battle-cards/) added that a move to Spurs in particular would appear to make sense for the [£55,000-per-week](https://salarysport.com/football/player/christopher-nkunku/) Frenchman, as Jose Mourinho is planning something of an overhaul at the north London club this summer, while his midfield could use the addition of a creative spark.

### Tranfer Tavern Take

As Sport Witness suggested, after looking at Nkunku’s statistics so far this season, the midfielder’s creativity – as well as his positional versatility – would appear to be something which could benefit Tottenham greatly.

Over the course of his 23 Bundesliga appearances for Julian Nagelsmann’s side this term, the 23-year-old has scored [six goals](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/300945/Show/Christopher-Nkunku) and registered [five assists](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/300945/Show/Christopher-Nkunku) while playing in a [variety of positions](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/300945/Show/Christopher-Nkunku) across the Leipzig attack, in addition to averaging a highly impressive [WhoScored match rating of 7.28](https://www.whoscored.com/Players/300945/Show/Christopher-Nkunku) – ranking him as the club’s [best performer](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/7614/Show/Germany-RB-Leipzig) in the German top flight.

Having said that, considering the midfielder’s [£36m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/christopher-nkunku/marktwertverlauf/spieler/344381) Transfermarkt valuation, as well as reported interest from Tottenham’s Premier League rivals, a deal is not likely to be an easy one to get over the line for Daniel Levy this summer.
