# Tottenham Hotspur: Striker still on the agenda after Bale and Reguilon deals, claim Sky Sports

**According to an update courtesy of[Sky Sports journalist Michael Bridge](https://twitter.com/MichaelBridge_/status/1306496783179288576), Spurs are still looking to land a striker despite recently securing deals for both Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilon in a [sensational double swoop](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-transfer-news-gareth-bale-sergio-reguilon-real-madrid-latest-a4549411.html) – with Jose Mourinho remaining keen on bringing in a back-up to Harry Kane.**

In terms of names, there have been plenty linked with a north London move, including the likes of [Bas Dost, Andrea Belotti, Habib Diallo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z_cpIqNdMo) and [Wout Weghorst](https://theathletic.com/news/tottenham-transfer-reguilon-latest-real/DbOw1kP431Eo) – with Bridge hinting that any one of these names could still come through the door even after Bale and Reguilon.

Financial difficulties brought up by a recent global pandemic, however, will perhaps force Spurs to offload names to balance the books first – and the Times claim, via [Hotspur Related](https://twitter.com/HotspurRelated/status/1306551370842021890), that Paulo Gazzaniga, Juan Foyth and Danny Rose could all make way.

Meanwhile, Serge Aurier and Ryan Sessegnon are also being mentioned among the list of players who may depart ([The Athletic](https://twitter.com/David_Ornstein/status/1306547251460870144)) – with the latter pair having the potential to raise most funds judging by their respective Transfermarkt valuations (Aurier, [£14.4m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/serge-aurier/profil/spieler/127032); Sessegnon, [£22.5m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryan-sessegnon/profil/spieler/392775)).

Once certain sales have been concluded and Tottenham are in a better financial situation to swoop for an attacker, Bridge has claimed that one is ‘[still on the agenda](https://twitter.com/MichaelBridge_/status/1306496783179288576)‘ before the transfer window shuts on October 5.

Reliable football.london correspondent Alasdair Gold recently claimed that[Danny Ings is another forward](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1z_cpIqNdMo) both Daniel Levy and Jose Mourinho ‘really like’ – but he could be the most difficult to pull off given he is currently the ‘main man’ at Southampton.
