# Tottenham Hotspur: Video of Hugo Lloris isn’t enough to lift some fans’ spirits

**Hugo Lloris will not feature for Tottenham Hotspur again in 2019, after dislocating his elbow against Brighton & Hove Albion, as has been reported by [talkSPORT](https://talksport.com/football/612421/hugo-lloris-injury-tottenham-goalkeeper-out-until-new-year-not-need-surgery/).**

However, the Spurs captain seems to have remained in high spirits, with the club [**posting a video**](https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial/status/1184506788927987713) of the Frenchman greeting his teammates while he continues his rehabilitation:

> Hugo still in high spirits as he continues his rehab at Hotspur Way.

The spirits of some Spurs fans are not as high as those of the 32-year-old though, with concerns around the team’s performances and the goalkeeper himself being aired in the replies.

Lloris has played 9 games across the Champions League and Premier League this campaign, conceding 17 goals and keeping just 1 clean sheet, as per [**Transfermarkt**](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hugo-lloris/leistungsdaten/spieler/17965).

To make things worse, this comes in a season where Spurs have only won [**3 games**](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/tottenham-hotspur/spielplandatum/verein/148) from 11 in all competitions so far.

Some fans are suggesting the club needs to buy a new goalkeeper to fix their problems, while there have been other suggestions that the Frenchman should be stripped of his captaincy.

A selection of Twitter reaction to the video, including posts from downhearted Spurs fans, can be seen below:

> Irony is he injured himself with one of the most ridiculous mistakes you will ever see
