Skipp has been a big miss for Antonio Conte, who has voiced his frustration over the delayed return of the midfield ace, opening up to the press over his [real worry](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-injury-news-antonio-conte-oliver-skipp-ryan-sessesgnon-b987323.html).

Tottenham had previously been [unable to put a timeframe](https://www.standard.co.uk/sport/football/tottenham-injury-news-antonio-conte-oliver-skipp-ryan-sessesgnon-b987323.html) on the 21-year-old’s convalescence but, as relayed by Gold, Conte now hopes to have Skipp back after the international break, with his condition getting ‘better and better’.

### The Latest: Gold blown away…

Sharing the Spurs manager’s confirmation of the update about Skipp (and a corresponding [football.london](https://www.football.london/tottenham-hotspur-fc/news/conte-tottenham-injury-skipp-live-23428367) article) via Twitter, Gold has been left blown away, simply stating ‘finally’ as he shares the ‘good’ news.

He [explained](https://twitter.com/alasdairgold/status/1504817272292102145?s=21): *“Finally some good Oliver Skipp news.”*

### The Verdict: Brilliant development…

Having Skipp back for the final run of Premier League matches will be a big boost as the Lilywhites chase a place in the top four and qualification for next season’s Champions League.

According to [WhoScored,](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/30/Show/England-Tottenham) Skipp has averaged a higher pass accuracy (90.1%) than any Spurs player domestically this season, standing out as a composed and assured figure in midfield.

As Tottenham look to end the 2021/22 campaign on a high amid some speculation over Conte’s future, this development certainly comes as a much-needed boost, and it’s safe to say that Spurs supporters will be thrilled.
