# Tottenham misfit demanding move to Premier League rivals

![Andros Townsend](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/09/Andros-Townsend-500x333.jpeg)Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern are reacting to news that a highly-rated player is demanding a January exit and is keen to join a Premier League rival.

[*The Sunday Mirror* state England international Andros Townsend will demand a move in the New Year](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-outcast-andros-townsend-edges-6790607), chasing an exit from White Hart Lane after a high-profile fall-out with the backroom staff in North London.

Interest in the 24-year-old, who will be hoping to force his way back into the England set-up, is extremely high- with [Leicester City, Aston Villa, Swansea City and West Brom all keen on his signature.](https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-outcast-andros-townsend-edges-6790607)

Townsend has found first-team chances at a premium under Mauricio Pochettino but England boss Roy Hodgson is a big fan of his, meaning that a return to regular action could see Townsend become a crucial part of the Three Lions Euro 2016 squad.

Spurs fans understand that Townsend is well within his rights to leave but are concerned to lose a player they see as very talented.
