![Harry Kanemd](https://cdn.footballtransfertavern.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Harry-Kanemd-500x369.jpg)Tottenham Hotspur fans in the Transfer Tavern have all their fingers and toes crossed, as they pray the latest piece of gossip will end a long transfer saga concerning their side.

[*Squawka*](https://www.squawka.com/news/tottenham-offer-harry-kane-mega-100000-a-week-contract-to-ward-off-manchester-united/685658)[state](https://www.squawka.com/news/tottenham-offer-harry-kane-mega-100000-a-week-contract-to-ward-off-manchester-united/685658) that the North London outfit are set to table a £100k-a-week offer to Harry Kane, in an attempt to fend off the interest of Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United.

Kane enjoyed a tremendous season with Spurs this term, as they fought Leicester City for Premier League glory, and the 22-year-old finished the season as top scorer in the division.

Understandably, this form has attracted some of the bigger sides in Europe and United have held long-term interest in the player, specifically as they’re looking to bolster their own attacking options and want to boast the best English talents.

Fortunately for Spurs, reports indicate that[Kane is close to agreeing a deal](https://www.squawka.com/news/tottenham-offer-harry-kane-mega-100000-a-week-contract-to-ward-off-manchester-united/685658) but will wait until after the European Championships to put pen to paper.
