# Tottenham: Spurs in contact with Marcus Thuram’s representatives

**[Tottenham](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/) have reportedly been in talks with the agent of Borussia Monchengladbach forward Marcus Thuram.**

### The Lowdown: Thuram links

Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici could well be busy over the coming weeks, looking to bolster [Antonio Conte](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tag/antonio-conte/)’s squad in the winter transfer window.

A new forward is [on the agenda](https://www.90min.com/posts/tottenham-strengthen-two-key-positions-january-transfer-window), with [reports](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/premier-league-spurs-marcus-thuram-move/) suggesting that a ‘surprise’ move for Thuram could be on the cards. Thuram is out of [contract](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-thuram/profil/spieler/318528) at the end of the season, and it looks as if he is becoming a wanted man heading into 2023.

### The Latest: Contact made

According to [90min](https://www.90min.com/posts/inter-trying-to-beat-premier-league-clubs-to-marcus-thuram), Inter Milan are trying to win the race for Thuram ahead of numerous Premier League sides and are readying a contract offer for the Frenchman.

### The Verdict: Shrewd move?

Thuram, labelled ‘[a little crazy](https://bulinews.com/news/3832/denis-zakaria-praises-marcus-thuram-what-brings-pitch-phenomenal)‘ by former team-mate Denis Zakaria, can play anywhere across the front three and is primarily a centre-forward.

The 25-year-old impressed on the biggest stage by helping France come from behind to take the World Cup final to extra time, registering an [assist](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-thuram/nationalmannschaft/spieler/318528/verein_id/3377) for Kylian Mbappe.

He’s contributed to [67](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-thuram/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/318528) goals in [119](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcus-thuram/leistungsdatenverein/spieler/318528) games for his current employers, so a cut-price move could be a shrewd one to rival Harry Kane and Spurs’ plethora of attacking talent.
