# Tottenham: Jack Grealish sends message to Harry Kane

**Jack Grealish has sent an Instagram message to Tottenham’s Harry Kane following Spurs’ 2-0 win over Manchester City.**

### **Grealish messages Kane**

Spurs stunned City on Saturday with a 2-0 victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – Heung-Min Son and Giovani Lo Celso hit the back of the net.

Kane was in top form in the match – he was [included in Garth Crooks’ Team of the Week](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/55032453) – and he [posted on Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/p/CH3YizKp3yf/?utm_source=ig_embed) to celebrate the performance. That led to Grealish [responding](https://tbrfootball.com/jack-grealish-sends-instagram-message-to-tottenham-striker-harry-kane/):

> *“You’re a joke”*

### **Former Spurs target**

It is nice to see some light-hearted banter between the two after their recent time spent on international duty together with England. It is interesting to note, though, that Grealish is a former target for Spurs, and he even admitted two years ago that he was [disappointed](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2018/09/27/jack-grealish-tottenham-think-would-get-place-england-squad/) not to have made a move to Spurs.

At the time, the bid for the Villa captain stood at £25m. However, he is currently valued at [£40.5m](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/jack-grealish/marktwertverlauf/spieler/203460) (Transfermarkt) and has been the subject of interest from [Manchester United](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=raaoG3zyXgI) and [Manchester City](https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/manchester-city/transfer-news-jack-grealish-villa-b1760370.html) – so that price tag will have gone up considerably. That only makes sense – he is a wonderful player who has been [compared to Eden Hazard](https://metro.co.uk/2020/04/22/john-terry-compares-man-utd-target-jack-grealish-eden-hazard-joe-cole-12594847/) in the past.

If Daniel Levy were able to find the money from somewhere, he would be a fantastic capture for Jose Mourinho.
