# Tottenham: Spurs want Marcelo Brozovic

**Tottenham are one of the clubs interested in signing Internazionale midfielder Marcelo Brozovic this summer.**

### **The Lowdown: Spurs start season strongly**

Spurs have been rocked by Harry Kane’s desire to leave the club this summer ([Sky Sports](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11675/12309404/harry-kane-again-tells-tottenham-he-wants-to-leave-as-manchester-city-manchester-united-chelsea-lie-in-wait)), but they started off their season in the best possible way against Manchester City.

Even without Kane, Tottenham were able defeat the Premier League champions 1-0 thanks to a goal from Heung-Min Son.

### **The Latest: Spurs eye Brozovic**

The end of the transfer window is now approaching and, according to [Fichajes](https://www.fichajes.net/noticias/renovacion-brozovic-complica-real-madrid-sigue-pasos-20210814.html), Spurs are interested in signing Brozovic.

Bayern Munich, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are also said to be in pursuit of the Croatia midfielder.

### **The Verdict: True talent**

Brozovic who would be a fantastic addition to the Spurs squad if Daniel Levy were able to lure him to north London. Former Dinamo Zagreb manager Nenad Bjelica even said that the 28-year-old was “among the best three midfielders in the world” in 2019 ([via fedenerazzurra.net](https://www.fedenerazzurra.net/news/2019/9/10/little-is-said-or-written-about-him-but-marcelo-brozovic-is-among-top-three-midfielders-in-the-world)), a year after he appeared in the World Cup final for his country against France in Russia.

He played a crucial role for Inter last season in the middle of the park as they won the Serie A title, making 33 appearances in the division ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcelo-brozovic/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/156617)) and achieving the squad’s fourth-highest [WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/75/Archive/Italy-Inter?stageId=18873) ranking for the campaign.

Valued at £36m by [Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/marcelo-brozovic/marktwertverlauf/spieler/156617) and with some of Europe’s top clubs interested in Brozovic’s services, it would be some feat for Levy to capture the 28-year-old. However, as they showed against Manchester City, they can be competitive in the Premier League; and if they can hold on to Kane, they may well become a far more attractive proposition for title-winning talents such as the Croatia midfielder.
