# Tottenham: Adama Traore could be denied Spurs move

**Adama Traore wants to join [Tottenham Hotspur](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/tottenham-hotspur-news/) but [Premier League](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/premier-league-news/) rivals Wolves may deny him the move, according to [90min](https://www.90min.com/posts/tottenham-transfer-notebook-carrasco-latest-winks-loan-sarr-future).**

### The lowdown

As [90min](https://www.90min.com/posts/tottenham-transfer-notebook-carrasco-latest-winks-loan-sarr-future) note, the Spain winger has been a ‘long-term target’ for Antonio Conte and Spurs, who wanted to sign him in January before he sealed a loan move to Barcelona instead.

Traore [made just four starts](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/leistungsdaten/spieler/204103/plus/0?saison=2021) for the Catalan giants in La Liga, and they decided not to exercise their [£29m](https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12526786/adama-traore-barcelona-re-sign-forward-from-wolves-on-loan-until-end-of-season-with-option-to-buy) purchase option at the end of the season. As such, he has returned to Molineux, where opportunities also appear limited.

The 26-year-old has played only [30 Premier League minutes](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/adama-traore/leistungsdaten/spieler/204103/plus/0?saison=2022) so far this term and was an unused substitute in Wolves’ draw against Newcastle on Sunday. The Spaniard ‘still wants a transfer to north London’ but it seems that the Midlands outfit must lower their demands if a move is to materialise this summer.

If necessary, the Spain international is ‘willing to wait until next summer’ and join on a free transfer.

Conte is seemingly in the market for another option at right-wing back.
