Tottenham Hotspur chief Fabio Paratici is plotting a unique return bid for summer target Ruslan Malinovskyi as he also eyes his teammate Giorgio Scalvini.

The Ukraine international was on Spurs' radar over the summer transfer window as manager Antonio Conte and sporting director Paratici scoured the market for a creative midfield player.

However, a move from Atlanta to north London failed to materialise despite Malinovskyi's real interest in moving to the Premier League side.

As reported by reliable transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano in August (via Daily Express), the 29-year-old apparently 'dreams' of joining Conte's team and 'would love to join' Spurs.

Malinovskyi's current deal expires in the summer, putting Atalanta under pressure to either sell in January or risk losing him for nothing later in 2023.

The Latest: Paratici plots unique Malinovskyi bid...

Amid the attacker's contract situation, it appears Spurs and Paratici are plotting to return for the player mid-season - but with a twist.

Indeed, as well as bidding to sign Malinovskyi, the Lilywhites have also set their sights on 18-year-old rising star defender Giorgio Scalvini.

Calciomercatoweb.it claim Paratici plans to present a 'single offer' of €30-35 million (£26m-£30m) for both players - a 'proposal' which would beat fellow interested parties Juventus and AC Milan if accepted.

The Verdict: Get it done?

The interest in Malinovkskyi is well-founded, especially since he stood out as Atalanta's fifth best-performing Serie A player last season with six goals and four assists over 2021/2022 (WhoScored).

Called a 'top player' by reporter Jake Anderson, Paratici should certainly go back in for the Ukrainian, and signing 6 foot 4 powerhouse Scalvini, though largely inexperienced, would be an added bonus.
