As reported by Vamos de Movistar presenter Susana Guasch Llovensà, both Sergio Reguilon and Gareth Bale have completed their Spurs medicals ahead of sensational multi-million pound moves to north London, with an announcement potentially nearing on the two superstars after an exciting last 48 hours.
The Evening Standard reported that Reguilon was in London for a medical following an agreed £25m switch from Real Madrid, with an announcement presumably expected fairly soon, but journalist Llovensa has now claimed that Bale has also been checked.
Contrary to other reports, which state that Bale’s deal is still being finalised, the Spanish media outlet have claimed that both players have already been examined.
Tottenham beat Man United to Reguilon’s signature after agreeing to Real’s buyback clause, unlike the Red Devils, with Spurs now securing a left-back despite popular belief that the position was not on chairman Daniel Levy’s agenda.
As per this update, the Spaniard will be linking up with his ‘idol‘ Bale after the two players passed their medical examinations – but what does this mean for Spurs’ 2020/21 Premier League season?
The futures of both Ben Davies and Ryan Sessegnon surely have to be questioned following Reguilon’s arrival, especially the latter, with Bale also presumably ousting the left-side further and making it very difficult for Sessegnon to play his way into Jose Mourinho’s plans.
However, for the moment, it is debatable whether Lilywhites supporters will be thinking too much about that given their excitement over the double swoop, with the end of the window looking very exciting so far.
Spurs supporters, what do you expect from both Reguilon and Bale? Have your say in the comments below…
