Tottenham have finally kicked into gear and are spending well to bolster their squad ahead of next season.
Spurs struggled in the Premier League last season after dealing with injuries to key players Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. An underwhelming run saw them finish sixth in the table, missing out on a Champions League spot.

With new recruits including Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart, Jose Mourinho’s side could fare a lot better as they push to challenge in England’s top flight.
Another recent transfer link sees Spurs connected with Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitic. According to Mundo Deportivo (via Sport Witness), the Catalonians have cast aside the Croatia international and are looking to cash in this summer.
Sevilla and Tottenham have both been named as clubs interested in his services and apparently Rakitic ‘wouldn’t mind’ a move to north London. However, neither are prepared to pay the €10million (£8.8m) price tag set by Barca.
The majority of clubs are currently in a state of financial uncertainty, but Rakitic’s asking price is a very generous one. Although he is now 32, the midfielder still has as lot of life left in him. He also boasts a hefty medal count, including four La Liga titles, two Super Cups and his 2014/15 Champions League success with Barcelona (via Transfermarkt).
Rakitic would bring both domestic and international experience to Mourinho’s midfield after reaching the final of the World Cup with Croatia in 2018. Spurs should strongly reconsider their uncertainty over such a small price tag, especially as the Croatian has stated he ‘wouldn’t mind’ joining the North London outfit.
