Tottenham Hotspur chiefs are 'confident' of completing a permanent deal to sign winger Dejan Kulusevski, which is '95% done' according to reports.

The Lowdown: Kulusevski shines for Spurs...

The Sweden international has dazzled since joining Spurs on loan-to-buy deal from Juventus in the January 2022 transfer window.

Kulusevski has totalled 11 assists and another six goals in 29 Lilywhites appearances under Antonio Conte and also ranks as one of Tottenham's most threatening players overall. Indeed, according to WhoScored, the 22-year-old is just behind Harry Kane and Son Heung-min for most shots at goal and key passes made per 90 in the final third.

It is rumoured that Spurs will be obliged to sign the player permanently from Juventus for £31m if he makes 20 or more Premier League appearances and the north Londoners clinch another top-four finish.

The Latest: Tottenham near Kulusevski permanent deal...

However, as per Football Insider, it appears that those clauses may even be bypassed after a flurry of brilliant showings from the winger.

It is believed that Spurs chiefs are 'confident' that the north London club will sign Kulusevski permanently, regardless of the clauses in his loan-to-buy deal, with a source also claiming that the move is '95% done'.

The Verdict: Get it done...

As backed by his statistics, the former Parma sensation has been simply scintillating at times in a Tottenham shirt since his move from Italy.

A highly positive attacking player, perhaps Kulusevski's greatest trait is his low centre of gravity and his directness to maraud at unfortunate full-backs.

Overall, he is Conte's sixth-best performing player so far this season judging by the numbers, but beyond mere statistics, the Scandinavian is also a very exciting player to watch on his day.

It is therefore very encouraging to hear that a permanent transfer to Tottenham appears to be very close to completion for the 22-year-old.
