Tottenham: Sky journalist says Paratici is eyeing Harrison -Tottenham Hotspur Transfer Rumours

Tottenham Hotspur and sporting director Fabio Paratici by extension now want to sign Leeds United star Jack Harrison, according to reports

The Lowdown: Spurs tipped to move…

The Lilywhites, seeking to back manager Antonio Conte after he guided Spurs to a top-four Premier League finish last season, have certainly tackled the summer market with real intent.

Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence and Destiny Udogie have all put pen to paper on moves to N17 with reports suggesting they could make further additions.

The likes of Ruslan Malinovskyi (Atalanta) and Nicolo Zaniolo (Roma) are seemingly top targets with an attacking midfielder clearly on the agenda, and it appears Leeds ace Harrison has also caught the eye of Paratici.

The Latest: Tottenham eye Harrison…

Indeed, Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas now claims the 25-year-old is on Spurs’ wish list.

However, it is believed that Leeds value Harrison at a marquee price and could demand over £60 million for his services.

Thomas explained, via the Sky live blog (Tuesday, 11:45):

“Jack Harrison at Leeds is another one on their (Spurs) summer wish-list but Leeds are thought to value him even higher than £60m, and Newcastle have also been in interested.”

The Verdict: Go big?

Called ‘next level’ by former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson, Harrison’s potential addition would inject real quality and help to balance their troubling homegrown quota.

Spurs fans, do you remember who scored your first goal of the season against Man City?

As per WhoScored, the Englishman ranked in Leeds’ top six players last season for average match rating per 90 with only Raphinha, Stuart Dallas and Illan Meslier playing more minutes than Harrison in the top flight.

He also finished 2021/2022 as their second top goal scorer with eight, leaving little wonder Spurs hold a real interest.

While £60 million plus could be seen as a challenging fee, if Paratici can whittle it down somewhat, we believe Harrison would be an ideal capture.
