European football correspondent Jacque Talbot has shared a promising Tottenham Hotspur transfer belief involving Middlesbrough full-back Djed Spence.

The Lowdown: Spurs eye Spence move...

Following on from sporting director Fabio Paratici's flurry of major signings, including Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison, it is believed that Spurs  could also be potentially nearing a move for Championship starlet Spence.

Reports have claimed that the Lilywhites are advancing in their move to sign the 21-year-old amid Antonio Conte's hunt for a right wing-back addition.

The 52-year-old is set for his first full Premier League season in charge of Spurs and may well be happy with just how efficient the club have been in the summer transfer market so far.

The Latest: Talbot makes Spence claim on Twitter...

Journalist Talbot has now backed Spence to join the north Londoners as he makes a claim on social media.

Taking to Twitter, the reporter claimed that Boro's exciting young prodigy 'will be going to Tottenham' and even said that it seems 'pretty obvious' at this stage that it'll go through.

The Verdict: Potentially great signing...

Spence's possible addition at Hotspur Way solves a plethora of issues both on and off the field for Tottenham.

Away from the field of play, Paratici can go some way towards rectifying the club's troubling homegrown quota by signing the Englishman.

On the pitch, Spurs could be nearing the signing of a 'perfect player for Conte', as explained by talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook, with other members of the media like Marc Williams also calling the 21-year-old 'exciting'.

If Tottenham can seal a deal for the England under-21 international on top of their already-completed signings, Conte may well be looking forward to an ideal pre-season tour of South Korea.
