Journalist Mirko Calemme has now shared more exit news out of Tottenham Hotspur involving club record signing Tanguy Ndombele.

The Lowdown: Spurs exodus finally underway?

Spurs have been attempting to get players out of the door this last month with managing director Fabio Paratici seeking to balance the books after sealing six major summer signings.

Harry Winks, Sergio Reguilon, Giovani Lo Celso and Ndombele are not in manager Antonio Conte's plans this season as the Premier League side aim to cut their losses on the quartet.

In the last week, significant progress has been made in regards to the latter two players with Lo Celso reliably thought to be on his way back to Villarreal after a successful 2021/2022 loan spell.

The Latest: Journalist makes 'close agreement' claim...

Now, sharing more exit news out of Hotspur Way, Italian reporter Calemme has a major update on Napoli's attempts to sign Ndombele from Spurs.

He claims that both sides are close to a temporary agreement over the 25-year-old, and what's more, the Frenchman himself has given his green-light to join them on loan.

Calemme explained (via Twitter):

"#Ndombele said yes to #Napoli . Close agreement with #Tottenham , there is optimism for the definition of the deal."

The Verdict: Good news...

Ridding at least some of Ndombele's wages off of Spurs' books, with Calemme also claiming the north Londoners will contribute towards some of his salary in Naples, will be seen as a win for Paratici.

Despite some flashes of bright form, the midfielder has never really contributed effectively or consistently enough since arriving in 2019 and a temporary move to Serie A could be best for all parties.

Spurs will be hoping Ndombele turns it on in Italy and drives up his market value ahead of a potential permanent sale in future windows.
