According to a report by the Daily Mirror, despite Inter Milan boss Antonio Conte effectively ruling out a move away for Christian Eriksen this month, that won’t stop Tottenham Hotspur ‘pushing‘ to sign the Dane as they seek a potential replacement for Dele Alli.
Eriksen – who has been targeted by Tottenham and chairman Daniel Levy according to reports, with Fabrizio Romano recently claiming that negotiations had brick wall (Twitter) – could still be on his way to north London as Spurs look set to make another last-minute attempt (Daily Mirror).
Tottenham will push for Eriksen
As per this Mirror report, the 28-year-old playmaker has re-emerged as Spurs’ number one target for this month, and it’s believed that Conte’s stance on the ace leaving this window won’t deter Levy as he looks set to push in a last-minute attempt.
The Denmark international has recently managed to work his way back into Conte’s favour at the San Siro, with his stunning last-minute free-kick clinching a Milan derby win for the Nerazzurri recently (Serie A).
However, Tottenham could now make one more attempt to sign him as they reportedly refuse to let Alli go to Paris-Saint Germain without finding a replacement.

Eriksen potentially returning to north London could divide opinion, with pundit and former Spurs goalkeeper Paul Robinson commenting on a January reunion before the window opened.
Regardless, Tottenham are now reportedly looking to make one last attempt amid Alli’s exit claims, but time will tell whether they will be able to land him for a second time.
