Writing a message on Twitter, reliable source and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has dropped the latest on Dele Alli and his Spurs exit saga – going on to claim that Ligue 1 giants Paris-Saint Germain are ‘very keen‘ on a loan move for the Englishman.
Reports in the media have circulated this story for some time, especially after former Spurs favourite Mauricio Pochettino was appointed as PSG boss, but Romano has now backed up these claims in a huge January update.
Romano drops Alli latest
The Italian has confirmed that Pochettino and PSG sporting director Leonardo are in fact ‘very keen’ on securing a loan move for the attacker this month, but Tottenham are holding firm and biding their time.
Revealing that Daniel Levy isn’t ‘convinced‘ over letting Alli depart until the end of the season, the same cannot be said for the ace himself, who is apparently ‘pushing‘ to leave Tottenham in an effort to get more playing time.
The postponed Euro 2020 looms around the corner, so it’s no surprise the £34.2m-rated (Transfermarkt) Alli is eager to depart on a temporary deal, but Levy could be right in weighing up his options ahead of a long season.
Transfer Tavern take
Hailed as ‘incredible’ by club legend Clive Allen to talkSPORT recently, even despite his lack of playing time, it will be interesting to see if he is made available to PSG before the end of the month.
Pochettino has just over two weeks to get a deal done, and only time will tell whether he does in fact manage it.
In other news: Tottenham could still swoop for this ‘dream’ signing in January, find out more here.
