Tottenham have scouted Edouard regularly this season, seeing him as a potential backup for Harry Kane who can also provide the England international with some healthy competition.
However, Spurs could have a transfer battle on their hands, as several unnamed English clubs have also registered their interest in the Frenchman.
Celtic boss Neil Lennon is hopeful that the chance to win a historic 10th consecutive title will be enough to persuade Edouard to stay at Celtic Park.
He first joined the Bhoys on loan from Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain, before joining the club on a permanent basis for £9.27m in July 2018. The 22-year-old has scored 60 goals in 126 appearances for Lennon’s side in total.
Edouard has bagged a staggering 22 goals in the Scottish Premiership in this campaign, netting 3 goals and creating 2 assists in 6 games in the Europa League, taking 3.5 shots per game, averaging 1.3 key passes, and completing 1.5 dribbles on average (WhoScored).
Given his impressive form this season, it is fair to say the French youngster could be a suitable replacement to cover for Kane in the future. He would also be able to pick up tips and tricks from the Englishman which would surely benefit Spurs in the long run as he is still only at the early stages of his career.
Admittedly, the Hoops are reportedly looking for more than the £25m that Arsenal paid them for Kieran Tierney, so it is unlikely he will move to North London in the summer. Indeed, Jose Mourinho will have to balance a squad overhaul with a limited budget, and the PSG academy graduate will surely be well outside his price range in the coming months.
Unsurprisingly however, many Spurs fans gushed over the “insane” transfer link to Edouard, with several dubbing him “class” and “perfect.” One fan added he is an “exciting prospect,” – unsurprisingly given his incredible goals record at Celtic.

I always make sure to watch Celtic's games at some stage during the week. Edouard is different class. He still has a bit to learn, my worry is that he finds it a bit of a cakewalk at times in the SPL. He's a big talent. The perfect signing for us in the ST position imo.

Cue a load of ignorant comments about Celtic and the SPL 🙄
Transfers will be very different post-COVID so I'd be surprised if this did happen, but he'd be an excellent signing

Would be a great signing and achievable, but in reality we’ll pass up the offer and then be linked again when he’s 50/60mil like Moussa dembele

He really isn’t he’s very good and yes I support Spurs first but I do follow Celtic and this kids a very exciting prospect he’s on a par with Tammy Abrahams easily.
