Fraser will become a free agent next month and Spurs have emerged as serious contenders to sign the winger on a free transfer from Bournemouth in the summer.
The Scottish international is reportedly interested in the link to Jose Mourinho’s side, as the Lilywhites present a fresh start and a new challenge for his career.
Mourinho is well aware his budget in the upcoming transfer window will be severely limited due to the financial pressures from the pandemic.
The 26-year-old scored seven goals and created 14 assists in the Premier League last season, just behind former Chelsea star Eden Hazard, and managed one goal and four assists before the campaign ground to an abrupt halt as a result of the nationwide lockdown. He is currently valued at £15.75m via Transfermarkt.
Bournemouth have been unable to convince him to sign a new deal and are bracing themselves for the fact he will leave the Vitality Stadium for nothing in a matter of weeks.
Which Premier League winger should Daniel Levy sign in the summer?
Naturally, a whole number of Spurs fans reacted to Fraser’s latest transfer update, with one fan tweeting he is a “better winger than Lucas,” and another remarking he takes “dangerous free kicks.”
Take a look at some of the mixed reactions down below…
He's a much better winger than Lucas. Lucas is best utilized as a second striker or CF imo. Fraser can run down the wing and whip in accurate crosses consistently. That's not Lucas's game. Lucas better up top.

Definitely good for squad depth. Can see players going out this window like Lamela. Sess will be playing more as a wingback or full back. So can be another option. For free that’s fine.

I don’t want Fraser either but I would take him he’s free.
