Tottenham Hotspur: Fans slam Mourinho transfer target as Real Madrid turn down offer

According to The Mirror, Real Madrid have rejected the chance to sign Tottenham target Willian on a free transfer from Chelsea, via @RickSpur.
Willian will become a free agent when his contract expires at the end of the month and the Brazilian is ready to leave Stamford Bridge.
The Spanish giants are reportedly unwilling to offer him a three year deal.
His agent Kia Joorabchian has revealed the 31-year-old wants to stay at Chelsea but it is understood he would prefer a move to another Premier League club if he leaves the Blues in the summer.
Tottenham and derby rivals Arsenal are among a number of suitors eyeing up a bid for the veteran in the upcoming window.
BeIN Sports recently claimed he will turn down an offer from the Gunners in favour of a move to their North London rivals.
Who should Spurs sign in the summer?
Willian
Ryan Fraser
He previously played under Spurs boss Jose Mourinho during the Portuguese’s second stint in charge of Chelsea, and he was even named player of the season in Mourinho’s last year with the Blues.
Football reporter Ricky Sacks shared the news on Twitter, writing: “Real Madrid have rejected the chance to sign Willian on a free transfer from Chelsea. Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the player due to his desire to remain in London and possibility of working under Spurs head coach Josè Mourinho again.”
However, Daniel Levy has made it clear the head coach will need to offload players like Erik Lamela if he wants to sign the winger in the transfer market.
Moreover, it is worth mentioning a large portion of the THFC faithful still bitterly remember Willian’s last transfer saga, after he famously snubbed the Lilywhites for Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, despite the fact he had already completed a medical at White Hart Lane.
Evidently, it is unlikely they will forget this slight anytime soon, as lots of Spurs fans slammed the Brazil international’s transfer update on social media. One fan tweeted “please no,” while another added “let him go.”

I don’t care if he is free. I don’t want him at Spurs. He had his chance to join but decided he’d make us look like idiots along with the Chelsea manager at that time 🤔
