According to a Tottenham Hotspur source, speaking to Football Insider, the club have now held more pre-summer exit talks amid the Cameron Carter-Vickers negotiations as news emerges on Malachi Fagan-Walcott.

The Lowdown: Spurs discussions ongoing...

As revealed by The Daily Record earlier this week, Spurs and Celtic are in ongoing talks over a permanent exit for defender Carter-Vickers who has shined on loan at Parkhead.

The Hoops possess an option to buy Tottenham's central defender for £6 million, a figure which may rise to £10m through add-ons, with sources from Carter-Vickers' camp believing Celtic is the best place for him to grow.

Amid these negotiations, however, it appears have also held pre-summer exit talks over Fagan-Walcott as Tottenham seek to reach a 2022/2023 loan agreement.

The Latest: Tottenham exit news emerges...

According to FI, the Lilywhites are keen to strike a temporary deal for the 20-year-old to go out on loan next season for the benefit of his development - coming after he recently signed a new deal.

It is believed they have opened talks with a number of English third-tier sides with initial discussions held.

Indeed, these League One clubs are also apparently eager to secure an 'early agreement' for the Spurs central defender ahead of next year.

The Verdict: Get it done...

A move away for Fagan-Walcott over 2022/2023 is arguably just what he needs as Spurs aim to further his development and raise a star for the future.

There is already plenty of promise surrounding the Englishman with expert John Wenham sharing what Ledley King told him. The ex-Lilywhites hero apparently 'really rates' Fagan-Walcott who is also a 'boyhood Tottenham fan' (Football Insider) - tags which could open up the possibility of him playing his way into the hearts of Spurs supporters one day.

For now, though, experience playing first team football regularly is the ideal first step forward.
