Speaking to Football Insider, regular Sky Sports pundit Paul Robinson has claimed that he is ‘surprised’ to still see outcast Danny Rose at Tottenham Hotspur but claims there is a ‘real possibility’ the Englishman, compatriot Dele Alli and goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga all exit north London before the transfer window deadline on Monday.
Robinson, who regularly comments on Tottenham, has now dropped his latest verdict on the Lilywhites’ incomings and outgoings – going on to say that the possibility of seeing all three men leave before Monday is a real one for supporters.
The Tottenham trio have been shunned to Jose Mourinho’s sidelines this season and could complete moves away during this window, with Robinson believing there is still time for all of them to depart.
Robinson drops Spurs claim as he shares ‘real possibility’
“I am surprised that he [Rose] has not gone already,” he told Football Insider.
“The fact that he has not got a squad number, I am just surprised he has not already left. I would be amazed if he is still at Spurs next week. He should have his pick of clubs.
“Dele Alli, the longer the window goes, the less he plays and the more you can see him leaving.
“I suspect he will want to leave. Pochettino at PSG looks like the perfect fit, especially with the Euros coming up. That is one that could go down to the wire.
“I think Gazzaniga has been looking to get out since the summer. He will want first team football. He is another one that I think we will see go.
“There is a real possibility that we see all three of those leave by the end of the window.”
Transfer Tavern take
As Daniel Levy could want to balance the books at Tottenham, Robinson could be correct in his theory there is a possibility all three of these men leave before Monday evening.
However, with time ticking, Spurs will want to potentially get these outgoings done as soon as possible – if the opportunities present themselves.
