Tottenham Hotspur: Ryan Bennett nears Swansea move as Joe Rodon talks continue - Tottenham Hotspur Transfer Rumours

According to an update by Sky Sports, Ryan Bennett is undergoing his Swansea medical ahead of a move from Wolves – gifting Tottenham a huge boost as they attempt to land Joe Rodon in a last gasp attempt.

The Welshman, who has been targeted by Spurs since deadline day October 5, could be one step closer after this latest development – with Swansea seemingly lining up his replacement in Bennett.

Indeed, according to Sky, Bennett is on the verge of a last second move to the Swans which allows Rodon to move freely the other way – with Spurs and the Championship outfit currently rushing to get a deal over the line.

Daniel Levy and co have been attempting to whittle his price tag down to £10 million, with Swansea valuing him at around £15 million according to reports.

The Athletic journalist David Ornstein recently confirmed that Rodon is on standby for a medical as the 5pm deadline nears, and Bennett’s arrival at Swansea could be a huge boost with his replacement on the verge of signing at the Liberty Stadium.

Spurs had been attempting a swap deal for the player, allegedly including USA international Cameron Carter-Vickers, but the Swans reportedly weren’t interested (Football Insider).

Details of the fee are yet to emerge, and as the clock ticks on ahead of the 5pm deadline, Bennett’s arrival could signal a potential deal being done the other way in Rodon to Spurs behind the scenes.

Whether or not Tottenham manage to complete necessary paperwork in time remains to be seen, but they will need to hurry in a late swoop.
