According to a report by Football Insider, Tottenham are in talks with Swansea City over the signing defender Joe Rodon – entertaining a possible £15 million plus a player deal to land a ‘fantastic signing‘.

Indeed, as per this report, chairman Daniel Levy is very keen on making the 22-year-old his seventh acquisition of what has been a very fruitful last two months on the transfer front.

So far, deals have been made for Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Carlos Vinicius and the sensational return of Gareth Bale.
Rodon, who has been a revelation for the Swans since his emergence two seasons ago, could very well be the next name on Levy’s list before Friday’s domestic window deadline.
To ‘sweeten’ the talks, Tottenham have now offered multiple fringe players in an attempt to lower Swansea’s £18 million asking price to just £15 million.
One name being touted to head the other way is 6ft 1 USA international Cameron Carter-Vickers, with ‘others’ also being suggested – a list that could theoretically include outcast Danny Rose.
Even though an agreement has not been made yet, according to Football Insider, Tottenham are confident they can complete a deal and land the ‘fantastic signing’ of Rodon before tomorrow afternoon’s cut off.
Ex-Spurs striker Darren Bent previously praised his potential signing, claiming that he ‘fits the bill’ and that he could be ‘another option‘ for manager Jose Mourinho – especially in place of makeshift centre-back Eric Dier.
