Tottenham officials have been sent to run the rule over Bayer Leverkusen star Moussa Diaby as sporting director Fabio Paratici seemingly eyes a move.

The Lowdown: Spurs signing ambition?

Spurs enjoyed a busy and productive summer window as Paratici and the club's hierarchy sought to back manager Antonio Conte and propel the north Londoners into England's elite bracket.

Building upon Tottenham's impressive top four finish last season, the Lilywhites sealed eight major signings including a permanent deal for star defender Cristian Romero.

Alongside the Argentine, Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster, Yves Bissouma, Richarlison, Clement Lenglet, Djed Spence and Destiny Udogie also put pen to paper on moves to Spurs.

Despite the Premier League side's newly-found ambition in the last transfer market, Paratici and co have already been tipped with moves for new targets in future windows.

The Latest: Spurs officials sent to run rule over Diaby...

According to 90min, Paratici seemingly has an eye on Leverkusen star Diaby with Spurs officials sent to run the rule over him during his side's Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid this week.

It's added that these Lilywhites chiefs were left blown away by what they saw.

The report details 'on-lookers' from Spurs and other interested sides were 'impressed' by the 23-year-old, who got on the scoresheet in Leverkusen's 2-0 win.

The Verdict: Make the move?

Diaby is believed to command a £60 million price tag so it would be a real statement of intent for Spurs to snatch him ahead of the competition.

Called 'irresistible' for his pace by the Rheinische Post (via Bundesliga.com), the winger's WhoScored numbers certainly back why Leverkusen value him so highly.

Diaby finished last season with a remarkable 13 goals and 12 assists in the German top flight alone and finished 2021/22 as Leverkusen's third-best performing player by average match rating.

The Frenchman may certainly be one to watch for January.
