Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly now had a bid 'accepted' for Ollie Tanner, according to The Athletic journalist Andy Naylor.

The Lowdown: Making waves

Indeed, Tanner is a player that has been making waves for Lewes in non-league, and now it looks as if he is going to secure a dream move to the Premier League.

Manager Tony Russell has called the English youngster 'special', as the 19-year-old certainly looks to be a star in the making.

Brighton were also chasing the exciting young talent, but The Athletic's Seagulls correspondent, Andy Naylor, has confirmed the Lilywhites have won the race.

The Latest: Bid 'accepted'

As per Naylor, Spurs have now had a bid 'accepted' by Lewes for Tanner, and they will hope that they can secure his signature before the January transfer window shuts:

The Verdict: Relief

After recently being snubbed in their pursuits of Adama Traore and Luis Diaz, the fact that Spurs now look close to signing a winger will surely come as a relief to both Antonio Conte and the fans.

Yes, Tanner may not be as much of a high profile as the other two, but he is just 19 years of age, and so has plenty of time to develop and eventually reach the same heights.

Nonetheless, this will hopefully not be the end of the North London club's spending spree, and with just a few days left of the window remaining, fans will surely be hoping more new faces will be walking through the door after Tanner.
