# Tottenham’s latest transfer links will intrigue fans as Pochettino eyes versatility

**Few of the Tottenham Hotspur fans who frequent the Transfer Tavern in their droves would doubt that their side needs but a few tweaks to really and truly push for the Premier League title.**

Having challenged over the past two campaigns, our north London locals are absolutely desperate to see Mauricio Pochettino add just a couple of supplements to an already talented-packed squad.

So, reports from the [Daily Telegraph](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/30/tottenham-turn-attention-bournemouths-josh-king-effort-strengthen/) have excited our local Lillywhites somewhat. They [claim](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/30/tottenham-turn-attention-bournemouths-josh-king-effort-strengthen/) the club are keen on signing Bournemouth forward Joshua King this summer, following the Cherries’ own recent spending spree.

Eddie Howe recently brought in Nathan Ake for a club record fee, as well as Jermain Defoe to strengthen his central striking options, along with stopper Asmir Begovic.

With that in mind, the idea of bringing the former Manchester United trainee in is [reportedly](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/30/tottenham-turn-attention-bournemouths-josh-king-effort-strengthen/) being considered by those on Hotspur Way. King is able to operate across the frontline, a trait that [apparently](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/30/tottenham-turn-attention-bournemouths-josh-king-effort-strengthen/) appeals to Pochettino ahead of next season.

Son Heung-min broke his arm on international duty and Erik Lamela recently underwent surgery, so the need for a versatile marksman is vital. Still, the report [claims](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/30/tottenham-turn-attention-bournemouths-josh-king-effort-strengthen/) the south coast outfit could demand a fee of around [£30m](https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/30/tottenham-turn-attention-bournemouths-josh-king-effort-strengthen/) for the Norway international.

Many of our punters have collectively baulked at such a fee, though do rate King rather highly, after he bagged 16 times last term.

**Thoughts?**
