# Everton: Fans fume over Anwar El Ghazi transfer news

**Some Everton fans have been left fuming as the arrival of Anwar El Ghazi was confirmed by the Toffees.**

As per the official [website](https://www.evertonfc.com/news/2446641) of the Goodison Park faithful, the winger has now signed on loan from Aston Villa for the rest of the season, and so is eligible to play Norwich City away from home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

However, while El Ghazi offers an extra body in the attack and plenty of top-flight experience, some supporters of the Merseyside club have been left underwhelmed by his signing.

The Netherlands international has [not played much](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/anwar-el-ghazi/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/183720/plus/0?saison=2021&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) this campaign, and so one would have to question his match sharpness, while Rafa Benitez already has a [sizeable](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fc-everton/startseite/verein/29) number of wingers that he can call upon in the squad already, with other areas of the pitch arguably needing strengthening more.

### Everton fans on El Ghazi transfer news

These Toffees were baffled as the transfer news was shared on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/Everton/status/1481672606201876487), while one Blue even went as far as to claim that he is a ‘fraud’, perhaps given his [lack](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/anwar-el-ghazi/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/183720/plus/0?saison=2021&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB1&pos=&trainer_id=) of goals or assists in the Premier League this term:
