# Everton: Fans fume at Cenk Tosun comments

**Many Everton fans have been left fuming at some comments that have been made by Cenk Tosun.**

In an interview shared by [Fanatik](https://www.fanatik.com.tr/cenk-tosun-transferi-icin-ilk-kez-konustu-flas-besiktas-aciklamasi-2259080) earlier this week, which has since been shared by [Everton Blue Army](https://twitter.com/EvertonBlueArmy/status/1479093156754989056) on their Twitter page, the striker has admitted that he has ‘no intention’ of returning to Besiktas in the January transfer window, despite [reports](https://www.sabah.com.tr/spor/futbol/2021/12/29/tosun-pasa-yola-cikti) linking him with a move.

He also claimed that he wants to finish the season at Goodison Park, in other words ruling himself out of a move this month.

Tosun has not exactly lit up the stadium when he has played, scoring a mere 11 goals in 59 matches in total over all competitions for the Merseyside club ([Transfermarkt](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cenk-tosun/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/45671/plus/0?saison=&verein=29&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=)), and earning [£60,000-per-week](https://www.spotrac.com/epl/everton-fc/cenk-tosun-24729/#:~:text=Cenk%20Tosun%20signed%20a%205%20year%20%2F%20%C2%A315%2C600%2C000,%C2%A33%2C120%2C000%2C%20while%20carrying%20a%20cap%20hit%20of%20%C2%A33%2C120%2C000.) in wages, it seems as if he needs to go so that they can use the money spent on him elsewhere.

Nonetheless, a lot of Toffees supporters were far from happy with his comments.

These Blues fumed as the comments were shared on [Twitter](https://twitter.com/EvertonBlueArmy/status/1479093156754989056), with one even going as far as to claim that Tosun is a ‘wage thief’:
