# Wolves: Fans gush over Hwang transfer news

**Lots of Wolves fans have been left gushing over some transfer news that has emerged involving Hwang Hee-Chan.**

As per the official [website](https://www.wolves.co.uk/news/first-team/20220126-hwang-set-to-become-permanent-wolves-player/) of the Midlands club, they have now activated a clause to make his loan move from RB Leipzig permanent at the end of the temporary stint, with a contract at Molineux running until 2026.

Despite being currently injured, Hwang is still the club’s [joint-top](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/wolverhampton-wanderers/leistungsdaten/verein/543) league scorer so far this season with four goals, and made an instant impact by scoring on his [debut](https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/hee-chan-hwang/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/292246/plus/0?saison=2021&verein=543&liga=&wettbewerb=&pos=&trainer_id=) in the 2-0 win away at Watford in the Premier League back in September.

Nonetheless, to now get him permanently for a fee of just [£12m](https://twitter.com/talkSPORT/status/1486318168020865025) represents great business by the Wanderers, as they look to push on for a European spot come the end of the season.
