# Rangers: Fans fume over John Lundstram transfer news

**Many Glasgow Rangers fans have been left fuming over some transfer news that has emerged on John Lundstram.**

As per The Athletic journalist [Jordan Campbell](https://twitter.com/JordanC1107/status/1488116715200286721), the central midfield player ‘won’t be leaving’ Ibrox before the January transfer window shuts.

He had been [linked](https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/john-lundstram-eyed-middlesbrough-rangers-25918014) with an exit earlier on this month, but now looks set to stay, despite the potential arrival of [Aaron Ramsey](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/rangers-fc-transfer-rumours/transfer-news-aaron-ramsey-spfl/).

Lundstram, [reportedly on a whopping £22k-p/w](https://salarysport.com/football/player/john-lundstram/), has not made the sort of impact that the Teddy Bears would have liked him to when he arrived in the summer after leaving Sheffield United.

He currently ranks in 23rd out of the 29 players in the Light Blues squad in terms of average rating in the Scottish Premiership so far this season ([WhoScored](https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/306/Show/Scotland-Rangers)), and has been [criticised](https://www.footballtransfertavern.com/rangers-fc-news/john-lundstram-ross-county-spfl/) for some of his performances by the Gers faithful.

Nonetheless, he will now want to pick himself up for hopefully a strong finish in the second half of the campaign.
