Adrian Balboa leaves Leeds on loan

Leeds United are continuing to shift a number of players on from Elland Road this summer.

According to an announcement on the club’s official website, Adrian Balboa has left the club on a season-long loan to join up with Terrassa FC.

The Spaniard joined the Whites last summer as Victor Orta looked to improve their youth side, however, it appears Marcelo Bielsa was happy to allow the 20-year-old to depart for regular first-team football.

Balboa will team up with Terrassa in the fourth tier of Spanish football as he looks to continue his development and will hope to gain significant experience that will allow him to challenge for a place in the first-team in the future.

The striker becomes another one of the fringe men to have left the club on loan recently, with the likes of Yosuke Ideguchi and Laurens De Bock bot having departed earlier in the week.

The Japan international headed to German outfit Greuther Furth, whilst the Belgian left-back returned to his homeland with a spell at K. V. Oostende in the Jupiler Pro League.

The Verdict:

Balboa will be looking to get regular first-team football and a loan move to Terrassa could be a good move.

However, there will be some concern that the 20-year-old is only heading to a side that is playing in Spain’s fourth tier, rather than in a league higher up the ranks.

With that said, the young forward will be looking to make the most of his time in his homeland and will be looking to impress Bielsa during his time away from Elland Road.
