West Bromwich Albion have looked rather impressive in recent times as they continue to improve under the guidance of Darren Moore.
The Baggies will accept nothing less than promotion back to the Premier League with arguably one of the strongest squads in the division at Moore’s disposal. And, it looks as if the West Brom boss may make his squad even stronger, as according to the Express and Star, Bakary Sako is on trial at the Hawthorns.
Interestingly, the 30-year-old free agent has been training with the Baggies this week at their facilities in Walsall and is currently under consideration for a short-term contract
And, Moore admitted he had been impressed by Sako in training following his release from Crystal Palace in the summer.
“He’s had a couple of days [with us],”
“We’ve just been having a look. He’s wanted to come in and train and we’ve had a look at his fitness.”
Bakary Sako was phenomenal during his time at Wolverhampton Wanderers and could no doubt do a job at the Hawthorns for Darren Moore in the Championship.
The Baggies already have a number of wingers, but there’s no reason as to why the West Brom boss shouldn’t look to strengthen his side in what will be a long, tiring campaign.
