Nottingham Forest put in a dominant performance against Hull City on Saturday as they secured all three points with a 2-0 victory away from home.
Forest can now start to think about securing a play-off place having gone their last five Championship games unbeaten. Although, it appears as if the club are looking to get rid of two players, as according to The Sun on Sunday (25/11; page 60) (via HITC), Aitor Karanka is ready to offload Ben Watson and Liam Bridcutt.
Karanka is reportedly ready to allow Ben Watson and Liam Bridcutt to leave the club in January as he looks for additional funds for his transfer kitty.
However, Forest may struggle to shift the pair off the club’s books in January due to their wages.
Watson has not featured in the Championship for more than a month, while Bridcutt has had to settle for very few minutes on the field.
Surplus to requirements, to say the least.
Ben Watson and Liam Bridcutt will inevitably depart at some point in January, but it remains to be seen as to whether this will be on loan or permanently.
Nottingham Forest have already gotten the very best out of a number of their summer signings this season, so it makes sense for them to look at raising funds by selling the out of favour pair.
