Real Madrid have dominated most of the morning here at the Football Transfer Tavern and this latest bit of news in no exception. Forward Karim Benzema has been linked with a move away from the club of late and as Goal.com report, the forward has no intention of going anywhere.
The latest club to be linked with Benzema is none other than money-rich club Paris Saint Germain who are of course in the league that Benzema hails from and having just been voted French Player of the Year for the second time in a row, it is no shock that clubs in France are keeping their eye on the 25-year-old who has been injury hit this season whilst his team have stalled significantly in the league.
Despite the difficult time this season, the striker claimed: “I don’t know anything about that [PSG’s interest]. I’m happy at Real Madrid, I want to be at this club. It’s the biggest club in the world and our story together isn’t over,” and also went on to talk about the club’s holy grail – the 10th Champions League or La Decima as it is whispered in Madrid stating that: “The Champions League is a big part of my ambitions. Here, everyone wants to win the Decima, and I want to be part of the team that achieves it.”
Mourinho will of course be wishing the player is fit for the away trip to Malaga as Gonzalo Higuain is currently out until after the winter break.
