Although it's still early in the season, Leeds face Middlesbrough tonight in what looks to be a crucial match in the Championship.

Under Bielsa's brand of high-tempo, attacking football, Leeds have surged to the top of the league - joint with Boro. While the Whites were handed their first loss of the season against Preston in the League Cup in midweek, they remain unbeaten in the league.

While Bielsa has managed to keep a consistent first XI over the last few weeks, due to an injury to Liam Cooper before their game against Swansea, Bielsa had to recall Pontus Jansson back to the first team. However, Phil Hay has reported that Cooper is now 100% fit, meaning that Bielsa could have a big decision on his hands.

The Breakdown

Before his injury, Liam Cooper and Gaetano Berardi had formed a great partnership in the heart of Bielsa defence. The 27-year-old defender has been in superb form so far this season but has missed the club's last two games in the Championship.

Although Pontus Jansson is a fan favourite, such has been the performances of Cooper, that he probably should come back in. Berardi has started all the club's matches so far and should once again start again.

It's a huge game for Leeds. If the club wins, they keep up their great run of form in the league and will have got three crucial points over a rival. Bielsa has to go back to his starting defensive pairing tonight.
