If Sheffield United continue to perform as well as they are on the pitch, there is a real likelihood that they will be playing Premier League football next season.
And, according to a report, it appears they could potentially have a couple of their big-name stars playing for them in the top-flight in the next campaign.
The Sheffield Star is claiming Billy Sharp and Enda Stevens are set to commit their futures to Bramall Lane further and sign new deals.
Sharp, who is a boyhood Sheffield United fan, has been in magnificent form this season, scoring 22 goals in his 30 Championship appearances.
It is understood the 33-year-old has been in discussions about a new two-and-a-half-year deal to extend his stay with The Blades until the summer of 2021.
Stevens, who has seen his form take him to the Republic of Ireland international side, is also understood to have been in talks about a new deal that could see the 28-year-old stay beyond 2021.
Tying both Sharp and Stevens down to new contracts will be a great bit of business for Chris Wilder and Sheffield United.
Both men have played key roles in their efforts to try and win promotion the Premier League this season and will likely continue to have a huge impact in the final stages of the campaign.
As mentioned, Sharp has been a striker in red-hot form, whilst Stevens has been a creative force from the left-back position, having notched up six assists in his 32 Championship appearances.
