Birmingham fans in The Football Transfer Tavern have been eagerly awaiting news about new signings for some weeks now, and finally it seems they have something to get their teeth into.
According to reports from Sky Sports, Sheffield United youngster, Che Adams is edging closer towards a move to Birmingham after a fee of around £1.7m was agreed between the two clubs.
The overall package could in-fact rise to around £1.9million with fees and add-ons, but the news will come as a welcome break for Gary Rowett, who has been chasing a striker for the majority of the summer.
He claims to have made over 200 lines of enquiries this summer as he attempts to add to his side, but it seems like he has finally got his man.
The 20-year-old striker has impressed for The Blades since moving to the club in 2014, scoring 12 in 40 appearances last season.
