Nottingham Forest will be desperate to secure promotion to the Premier League after securing their first win in the Championship last time out.
Aitor Karanka certainly spent a lot of money over the course of the summer transfer window and could look to bring in even more players before the end of the month. But, it looks as if one of Forest’s first team members is receiving interest, as according to Sun Sports, Blackburn Rovers have made an improved £8 million offer for Ben Brereton.
Blackburn Rovers have made an improved £8 million offer for Ben Brereton.
Tony Mowbray has already seen a £6 million offer turned down for the Nottingham Forest striker, but Blackburn Rovers have attempted to revive the deal.
Rovers want the 19-year-old until January while loans are allowed, with the deal turning permanent when the window reopens.
Although, the Midlands club want closer to £12 million for the forward.
Nottingham Forest won’t be too fussed about offloading Ben Brereton if it means that they receive a sum close to their asking price, as they managed to bring in the likes of Lewis Grabban and Hillal Soudani this summer.
Indeed, the Englishman established himself as one of the hottest prospects in the Championship last season and was attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal. But, having been pushed out of Aitor Karanka’s plans in the current campaign, it now looks as if his new home will be Ewood Park.
