Having just digested the news that both Lucio and Ricardo Quaresma have recently terminated their contracts at Juventus and Besiktas, it seems that another player wishes to follow suit. Brazilian Nene is looking to end his time at Paris Saint Germain according to Sky Sports.
The player and club are yet to reach an agreement and here at the Football Transfer Tavern we think that Christmas spirit should prevail for a club such as PSG, given the amount of money Carlo Ancelotti’s side have at their disposal. The player who has been in exile for the last three games since a bust up with the club during a Champions League tie with Porto is likely to be granted his wish in moving on.
Nene has been linked with a host of other clubs since the breakdown in communications between the club and the 31-year-old, including AC Milan and Santos leaving him with more than a few decent options. No wonder then that he told his official website: “It’s a hard decision to make but I think the time has come for me to follow a new path in my career,” with the Brazilian also adding optimism about the resolution between himself and the club, claiming that: “I think we will reach a consensus and (I will) be released from the remaining contract compliance.”
