The Nottingham Forest supporting punters here in the Transfer Tavern are reasonably content with how their season is going at present, despite the Reds inability to see a game out.
Dougie Freedman’s men have drawn their last three matches in the Sky Bet Championship, but given that the Reds went on a eight match streak without a win earlier in the campaign there is now cause for optimism at least.
One man who could be packing his bags and departing the City Ground however is captain Henri Lansbury, with two lads over by the pool table mulling over an article in the Brent and Kilburn Times, which says Championship rivals Queens Park Rangers could be ready to make their move.
One Forest supporting punter, who is sampling one of the landlord’s best bitters, thinks the Reds should sell the captain and bring in last season’s loan star Gary Gardner from Aston Villa.
Our landlord believes that may be a risky move and that selling Lansbury to a direct Championship rival would come back to haunt them somewhere down the line.
Forest fans… Stick or twist with Lansbury? How is he playing this season?
