Dejphon Chansiri won’t sack Jos Luhukay imminently

Sheffield Wednesday appear to be going through some turmoil at the moment as things currently stand.

The pressure is thought to have been mounting on Jos Luhukay as he struggles to get the results needed on the pitch to turn things around.

Owner Dejphon Chansiri has flown into England to hold talks with the players about his concerns at the Hillsborough outfit, however, it does not appear that a change at the top will be imminent.

Speaking to The Sheffield Star, the Thai businessman has revealed that he will not sack Luhukay before their fans’ forum on Wednesday night, stating that ups and downs are part of the game.

“We chose Jos in January because he has a good CV,” Chansiri said.

“Two months ago, the fans and media were saying Jos was very good.

“Now we have gone down in the table, the fans are saying Jos is very bad and are asking why we haven’t changed [manager].

“It is easy to change a manager but it does not guarantee that you are going to be successful.”

The Verdict:

Although the writing certainly appears to be on the wall for Luhukay and his time at Sheffield Wednesday, it does not seem as though Chansiri will take action just at the moment, which may infuriate fans.

The manager may get a chance to turn things around throughout the festive period, however, it would remain to be seen in regards to January.

Should things continue as they are and show no signs of improvement, and with the management options currently in the market, Chansiri may be forced into a decision that he has to make.
