Dimitar Sheytanov fuels Leeds speculation further

Leeds United’s transfer window could be about to get a lot better this summer as reports have confirmed one of their targets has left his club.

Bulgarian media outlet Top Sport have confirmed that Dimitar Sheytanov has left Levski Sofia and it is being claimed the Elland Road outfit is his most likely destination.

The 19-year-old took to Instagram yesterday to say his goodbyes to the club and the players, which led to the rumours that he would be on the verge of a new challenge.

The goalkeeper has been linked with joining the Whites for some time now, with previous reports claiming that the club’s president had been in contact with Leeds personally about a transfer.

To further fuel the talk of him heading to Yorkshire, the teenager uploaded an Instagram picture to his story of Matthew Turner, via HITC’s Dan Coombs.

The Welshman is a current ‘keeper at the Leeds academy, stating he was his “bro” and stated he was “the best”.

The Verdict:

All that appears to be missing from the possible transfer of Sheytanov to Leeds is confirmation from the club themselves.

It does appear that the highly-rated goalkeeper will be heading for Elland Road, following all the tell-tale signs that have happened over the past few days, although the Whites refusal to announce such a move just yet could be key.

Should the Bulgarian join them, he would be expected to compete for his spot with the side’s developmental side, with Kamil Miazek already in the team.
