It has been Leeds United supporters making all the noise in the Transfer Tavern this term, although they were somewhat quieter over the weekend following their side’s defeat at Millwall.
New head coach Thomas Christiansen, who replaced Garry Monk during the close season, led the team to five victories from their opening seven Championship matches, with draws in the other two propelling them to top spot.
And this had our resident Leeds fans dreaming of a return to the Premier League, although those hopes took a dent at the Den on Saturday as Aiden O’Brien netted the winner in their 1-0 loss at Millwall.
However, there may some good news for those Leeds supporters if a recent tweet from Scouts in Attendance is anything to go by, which suggests that the Yorkshire giants were keeping a close eye on winger Samuel Adegbenro on Thursday night.

The 21-year-old currently plays his trade for Swedish side Rosenborg and played 82 minutes in their 4-0 defeat to La Liga outfit Real Sociedad in the Europa League last week, a competition the Nigeria international helped them qualify for with three goals in their 4-2 aggregate win over Ajax in the qualifiers.
Adegbenro only moved to the top-flight side last month but has since hit the ground running with four goals in seven appearances, and reports suggest that Leeds are monitoring the winger’s progress having scouted him on Thursday.
However, whether they continue to do so between now and January, and thus consider making a move for the 21-year-old in the New Year, very much remains to be seen.
Landlord’s verdict: Leeds United were extremely busy over the summer and brought in no fewer than 24 new players to the club, many of whom are seriously talented individuals who have already hit the ground running.
And with the vast majority coming from abroad, the Championship side clearly got their scouting right, so recent news of a scouting mission to Sweden and Rosenborg is likely to encourage Leeds fans, with winger Samuel Adegbenro reportedly on the radar.
The 21-year-old only moved to the club last month which likely makes a January deal improbable, but if he continues his fine form which has seen him net four goals in seven games for the club, interest is likely to mount, and thus result in uncomfortable transfer windows for the Swedish outfit in the years to come.
