Harvey Barnes has a recall clause in his loan deal with West Brom

West Bromwich Albion will be hoping that they can keep hold of one of their key players in January.

According to a report by the Birmingham Mail, Leicester City have the option of recalling Harvey Barnes from his loan spell at the Hawthorns this winter.

The loanee has been in electric form for the Baggies in the Championship and has played a key role in helping the side to get to where they currently are.

And, Darren Moore will be keen on keeping the 20-year-old around for as long as possible.

The midfielder has already netted twice in the league after making six appearances for the former Premier League outfit.

The Foxes already have a number of options to use from, however, they could still look at bringing Barnes back to the King Power Stadium.

The Verdict:

West Brom will be hoping that Leicester will keep Barnes at the Hawthorns for the sake of his development, as it is unlikely that he will get a run out with the first-team.

The 20-year-old has already had a bright start to the Championship and the Baggies will be hoping he can continue to make an impact as they look to win promotion back to the top-flight.

However, with a recall option inserted in the loan deal, there is always a chance that the £225k-rated midfielder, as per Transfermarkt, could depart in January.
