Izzy Brown fills a hole but Leeds could’ve done much better

With one day left for Leeds to make any more loan deals, the Yorkshire club could well be in to add one player before the deadline.

Under Marcelo Bielsa, the club haven’t exactly spent too much in the transfer market with only Patrick Bamford and Barry Douglas the only permanent transfer made during the summer. They have also brought in three loan players, Lewis Baker, Jamal Blackman, and Jack Harrison.

According to reliable journalist, Phil Hay, the club are close to signing yet another Chelsea player, Izzy Brown.

Brown will apparently sign on a season-long loan having recovered from a serious knee injury.

The Breakdown

Although Leeds suffered their first loss of the season against Preston in the League Cup this week, overall the Whites have started the season incredibly well.

So far in the league, they have blown away most teams and have only really been troubled by Swansea City. Bielsa’s men currently sit top of the league and go into a crucial match against Middlesbrough on tomorrow night.

While the football has been superb, there is a slight worry that Bielsa’s side will eventually burn out after.

The signing of Izzy Brown is going to provide crucial depth for Samu Saiz and it will also give Bielsa a player that has tasted promotion before.

Although Brown will provide depth and experience to Leeds’ midfield, it remains to be seen that the club could’ve been more ambitious.

The former Chelsea youngster has never really shown his quality but at least fills a hole for the club.
