Things certainly could be better at Sheffield Wednesday this season.
Jos Luhukay’s side have had a rather torrid time recently on and off the pitch, with results on the pitch being a huge concern.
The Owls have managed to record just one win in their last ten matches under the Dutchman, which has seen them slide towards the relegation zone.
Dejphon Chansiri is now said to have put the club up for sale in the latest turn of news, however, reports in Holland are claiming some even bigger and alarming news.
The manager was brought into Hillsborough to replace Carlos Carvalhal and has had a far from easy ride at the helm.
The 55-year-old has had to deal with a transfer embargo during the summer transfer window that seriously hindered his chances of making improvements to the team.
There are not any other reports currently of the manager’s supposed departure, so questions will naturally arise about how genuine the report is, especially considering that Chansiri was not looking at making any immediate movements.
There is no doubt that things need to improve for Luhukay immediately, providing that he is still in the job.
Wednesday will look to rectify things on the pitch at the weekend when they host Preston North End at Hillsborough on Saturday afternoon in the Championship.
