Leeds United are thought to be in the transfer market for a new goalkeeper and may have received some great news.
The 28-year-old is out of favour at St. James’ Park and the Whites are thought to be keen on bringing competition and cover to the club for Bailey Peacock-Farrell.
It is understood that talks about a move are ongoing between the two clubs about a possible loan deal with the view of turning it into a permanent switch in the summer.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side are desperately short of options when it comes to shot-stoppers after Jamal Blackman had to cut his loan spell from Chelsea prematurely with a broken leg.
Leeds’ chances of bringing Darlow to Elland Road appear to have been given a huge boost as they look to provide Peacock-Farrell with some extra competition.
His arrival could also help Leeds continue their charge to win promotion to the Premier League, with the amount of experience he has to offer.
The 28-year-old is a proven Championship goalkeeper and was impressive for Newcastle during their winning stint in England’s second tier.
